A 1953 Chrysler "Thomas Special" coupe with body by Ghia brought a top bid of US$858,000 to become the highest-priced car at RM Auction's Vintage Cars of Meadow Brook event on July 24 in Michigan. Despite poor weather, total sales climbed to over $10 million for the 98-car offering, with 85 per cent sold.
