A road trip to central Ontario has allowed James to rack up a bunch of seat time early on in the Sonata, and finds the cabin to be comfortable, spacious and generally well-assembled.

James finds himself driving something other than a sports car for the first time in weeks. The car is the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, a sedan that breaks the family car mold stylistically. Follow along to see if it still delivers the family-car goods.

The most impressive feature of the 135i Cabrio's interior, says James, is the front seat legroom. He also liked the car's refinement with the top down, which he says is better than any other convertible he's driven.

It's been one year to the week since James drove a 2010 Mustang GT, which is fitting, as he's in a 2011 Mustang GT this week. This one, though, has Ford's new 5.0-litre V8 engine, which should help make this one even more fun than last year's.

The Miata's interior is small; no surprise there, James says, but it's a clever enough design, with a useful trunk and a folding hardtop that steals no cargo space and can be raised or lowered in about 20 seconds.
